Snowman......

all geared up before we made it outside.

The snowman is finished!
He turned out cute!

Well it snowed again and the kids wanted to go outside and play in it. I was a little worried about Aspen not liking it but I guess I shouldn't have been she loved it. Ben helped the kids build a snowman and they thought it was cool and fun. We had snowball fights and just played around. They can't wait for it to snow more so they can go back out and play in it.

Happy Halloween!!!

This year Ben had to work on Halloween so I took the kids trick or treating by myself. They had lots of fun dressing up and getting candy. Addilee was a cat, Patton was a skeleton, and Aspen was a dinosaur. They got lots of candy and loved every minute of it. They missed daddy but they still had fun. Thank heavens halloween is over with. Now on to the big holidays. Happy Belated Halloween to all.

Deer hunt

cutting the elk into 4 quarters.

Parker, Addilee and Aspen having some hot chocolate.
They thought it was delicious!

Patton and I with the Buck that I shot. He was a three point.
Not a giant but I took him anyway.

Ben giving me a thumbs up. He got the jeep stuck thankfully
we had a winch to pull us out of the hole. Holy freaking crap!

Roasting hot dogs for dinner one night. Mmm tasty!

Well I am finally playing catch up. Sorry guys! Here is some pictures of the deer hunt. We had tons of fun camping with the family. We had Ben and I and the kids, Reece, Meagan and the kids. My parents, Uncle Grant and Aunt Joan, Travis and Meghan, Uncle Rulon, Kyson, and Koden. We had lots of fun and missed those of you who didn't make it. We stayed out for two weekends in a row. I filled my tag and we also filled one of our cow elk tags. My mom filled her tag and my dad filled his cow elk tag also. We had lots of fun and are hoping to make it and annual thing even if everyone don't have tags. We also picked pine nuts and that was fun. We had tons of fun thanks to everyone for making it that way.

First snow fall of the year

Well we finally we got snow. I am excited because I love this time of the year. I love the snow. Call me crazy but I still love it. It snowed the middle of the week which was a Wednesday the 26th of October. We only got a couple of inches but it still made me excited.

Well we finally got new family pictures taken. It has only been like a year since we got the last ones taken so I figured it was time. I am quite pleased with the way they turned out. I just thought I would give you a little sneak peak as to what they looked like. I can't wait to get the ones I order back to hang on the walls.

New family pictures.

So we had new family pictures taken and I am so excited to see how they turned out. So keep in touch to see how they turned out. I am anxiously waiting for them to get posted. I will post a couple when they come up.

Ben's deer....

If you can't tell Aspen was scared to death in this picture.

Ben was pretty happy when it was all said and done. Great Job Babe!!

This is the only way Aspen would set by the deer for a picture was on grandpas lap.
Thank you grandpa!

Well Ben had a dedicated hunter tag which means that he can hunt all three hunts. He decided to go out for the muzzle loader just to see if he could see anything worth shooting. We went out on friday morning but he didn't see anything so we went out on friday night and didn't see anything. So of course we went out again on saturday morning and then again on saturday night. Well low and behold he was patient enough to wait around with noisy kids and all. We ran into this buck and couldn't pass him up. When we got all the kids out of the jeep to go see the deer once he was dead. Addilee and Patton were so excited but Aspen was freaked out. She was so scared and screamed every time she was near it. One strange thing about this deer was it was still in the velvet he had tried to rub a little off but most of it was still attached. He ended up being a 4X5 with a 22 inch spread. Nothing huge but glad we didn't pass him up. Now just hopefully I will be able to fill my rifle tag with something worth bragging about lol. I am excited for the hunt to come up and am keeping my fingers crossed.

New family pet.........

So of course as you can see we got a new pet. Our guinea pig that we had died so we got a bunny to replace him. Patton named the bunny grasshopper and he is a boy. The kids absolutely love him. He isn't really that friendly yet but we are working on him. Hoping to be able to pick him to pet him and love on him. He is so cute and so soft.

Getting Wood

We found our tree with our initials carved in it and the year we got married.
B.H. S.H. and 02

The kids playing in and on the trees.

The pretty colors of fall.

Paper wasp nest that I found.

Well it's that time of the year again. We went out this last weekend to get a load of wood to burn for the winter. We went out with Ben's brother his wife and three of there kids. They left the older two boys home. We went up to Aspen park and the weather was perfect. Not too hot but not to cold. The colors are starting to change on the trees so it is so pretty. We had lots of fun the kids had fun playing around on all the trees. While we were up there Ben found a tree that we had carved our initials in the year that we got married. So we took a picture with it and the cut that section out of the tree and brought it home. The tree was dead by the way so we just cut the rest of it up for fire wood. While I was gathering up the last pieces of wood to load in the truck I found a nest or hive what ever you want to call it. It was a paper wasp nest but nothing was inside. It was in a tree that got knocked down so I found it on the ground still intact which I thought was cool. So I took a couple of pictures of it.

Picking Berries.......At the Berry Farm.

We went to the Berry farm here in town. The kids thought it was the coolest thing they loved picking the berries. We picked raspberries and they were delicious!!! We are planning on going back to pick more raspberries and blackberries when they come on. The people that own this showed us how to pick and where and just left us to our selves. The kids helped out and loved every minute of it. We got two baskets clear full to eat and I made some Jam with the left overs. Can I just say the berries were good but the Jam turned out amazing!

Labor Day

Aspen loved Carter pushing her around in the dump truck.

This picture is of Ben and the kids climbing out of the ice cave.

We went up to Cedar Mountain this year for Labor Day. Most of the family came and we had lots of fun. The kids played well together and played every minute possible. Ben and I took the kids to the ice cave and Patton freaked out. He was terrified! But Addilee thought it was cool. We mostly just hung out with everybody and enjoyed everyone's company. We had lots of fun Thanks everyone!

First day of Preschool

Addilee and Colton at preschool.

See how beautiful she is...

Boy are we in trouble...

Colton

Well today was Addilee's first day of preschool again. She also went last year but this will be her last year next year is on to kindergarten. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up. This year Colton is in her class which is Ben's brother's youngest son. Colton and Addilee are only a couple of months apart and very close and always have been. Addilee was excited when she found out that he was going to be in her class. She also has a friend in her class this year that she has played with before and she loves it. I am so proud of her and the things she does. She is a great kid and likes to help out a lot. I love her so much and am so glad that I get to call her mine.
