Getting Wood

We found our tree with our initials carved in it and the year we got married.

The pretty colors of fall.

Paper wasp nest that I found.

Well it's that time of the year again. We went out this last weekend to get a load of wood to burn for the winter. We went out with Ben's brother his wife and three of there kids. They left the older two boys home. We went up to Aspen park and the weather was perfect. Not too hot but not to cold. The colors are starting to change on the trees so it is so pretty. We had lots of fun the kids had fun playing around on all the trees. While we were up there Ben found a tree that we had carved our initials in the year that we got married. So we took a picture with it and the cut that section out of the tree and brought it home. The tree was dead by the way so we just cut the rest of it up for fire wood. While I was gathering up the last pieces of wood to load in the truck I found a nest or hive what ever you want to call it. It was a paper wasp nest but nothing was inside. It was in a tree that got knocked down so I found it on the ground still intact which I thought was cool. So I took a couple of pictures of it.
