Deer Hunt

This is what it looked like opening morning you could see hardly at all.

The kids in the back of the jeep. Aspen faces backwards as you know and she was on the other side of Addilee.

Ben's gigantic buck!!!

Ben wouldn't let me take a picture of him with the deer. I think he was disappointed in himself(but hey at least we got some meat).

Ben has a dedicated hunter tag with means for those of you who don't know. It means he can hunt three years but only take two deer in those three years, and he can also hunt all three hunts and can choose which hunt to take his deer in. Anyways this year he didn't get anything in the other hunts so he hunted the rifle hunt which started on saturday. That morning we got up early and got the kids ready for a day of hunting. Little did we know when we got ready to leave that it was so foggy! You couldn't see anything and the higher you got the worse it was. It was really bad and didn't clear out until around 11 or 12. It was bad!!! We only ever see does and that was right before we came home to feed the kids and get a little bit of rest before going back out before dark. Well he didn't get anything opening day. My bother Reece got his deer on Sunday morning and Ben finally filled his tag on Sunday night. I know I said finally and it was only one day but for some reason it seemed to drag on and on. I love to hunt also and enjoy this time of year as I have said before but I didn't have a tag this year so I was just along for the ride. Ben's deer was not big by any means but he wanted to get the hunt over with it ends on Wednesday anyways but he wont have time to hunt the rest of week with work and by the time he would get off work it would almost be dark so not much time being able to hunt.

It's Offical!!

Well it is official. Aspen is finally crawling and she is getting all over the place. I think she loves that she is mobile and can go where she wants to. She has been getting around for quite sometime but only in the form of rolling or scooting. But now she is crawling and I love it I think it is so fun when they can move and play more. I hate that my baby is growing up and growing up too fast but I can't stop it like I wish I could. The kids love her to death but mostly Addilee. She thinks that she is her very own live doll that she can drag around and play with every where. I just thought I would drop this little information to you. ENJOY!!!!

Getting Wood!

Only about a half of cord in this picture.

Ben getting the chain saw ready.

Getting wood is always so much work but for some strange reason I always enjoy myself. Plus you usually get a good workout. We went up to Aspen Park this last Saturday and got a load of wood. We got a full cord in a very short amount of time I thought. The kids enjoyed themselves and had lots of fun playing with cousins. Ben's brother D.J. and his boys also came and got a load themselves. It was so beautiful all the leaves changing colors. The weather was just right not to cold but not to hot. We only cut Aspen this time and will be going back out again sometime to collect a different type of wood maybe cedar I don't know for sure. Ben bought himself a new chain saw that cost a but load of money but it was well worth it. We also bought a new wood stove and it cost a but load also but I LOVE IT!!!! It is so pretty and burns great I don't have to sit and load it all day it makes it so nice and heats so much better. I am so looking forward to winter this year I love that time of season I love snow and everything that has to do with winter. I don't even mind shoveling snow. I know I am silly but oh well.

My cute Aspen!

j
The other night we went out hunting with Ben and I had to get the kids all wrapped up in warm clothes because it has been getting chilly the past couple of days. The jeep doesn't have the hard top on it yet and when you are driving down through the fields it gets pretty chilly those of you who have done this knows what I am talking about. But I decided to put Aspen in this outfit because then I wouldn't have to have a million blankets for her or a coat. I thought she was pretty cute in it and she was as happy as could be to go and when we got back. These pictures were take when we got home so as you can see she enjoyed herself. Addilee and Patton slept almost the whole time. It was fun to be able to spend time with Ben and just relax.

Conference Weekend!

We went camping for conference weekend. All the guys have deer tags so they all went hunting. We were only gone for a couple of days and we had to go back to town for a bbq with Bens family so we didn't go very far but it was fun and we enjoyed ourselves. It was just my family that went. No one filled there tags while we were camping but they still have time. Ben decided to put Patton in the tree he really like it but he was so grumpy that weekend you would have never have known that he enjoyed himself and had fun playing with his sister and cousins. I didn't take any more pictures because nothing really happened. I just thought this was so cute so I had to take some.
We went to the bbq on Saturday night with Bens family all the kids and nieces and nephews were there. It was really good to get to see everyone. It doesn't happen very often to get the whole Dallas Hall family together. It was fun and good food. Dallas has been working up in Alaska and is going back this week. Don't know how long he will be gone so it was good to get the family together.

Kids Picnic

The kids decided one day to have a picnic with all of Addilee's fake food that she has. I ended up giving them some fruit snacks to eat so they didn't eat the plastic food. I thought it was cute so I snapped a couple of shots.
