This is what it looked like opening morning you could see hardly at all.
The kids in the back of the jeep. Aspen faces backwards as you know and she was on the other side of Addilee.
Ben's gigantic buck!!!
Ben wouldn't let me take a picture of him with the deer. I think he was disappointed in himself(but hey at least we got some meat).
Ben has a dedicated hunter tag with means for those of you who don't know. It means he can hunt three years but only take two deer in those three years, and he can also hunt all three hunts and can choose which hunt to take his deer in. Anyways this year he didn't get anything in the other hunts so he hunted the rifle hunt which started on saturday. That morning we got up early and got the kids ready for a day of hunting. Little did we know when we got ready to leave that it was so foggy! You couldn't see anything and the higher you got the worse it was. It was really bad and didn't clear out until around 11 or 12. It was bad!!! We only ever see does and that was right before we came home to feed the kids and get a little bit of rest before going back out before dark. Well he didn't get anything opening day. My bother Reece got his deer on Sunday morning and Ben finally filled his tag on Sunday night. I know I said finally and it was only one day but for some reason it seemed to drag on and on. I love to hunt also and enjoy this time of year as I have said before but I didn't have a tag this year so I was just along for the ride. Ben's deer was not big by any means but he wanted to get the hunt over with it ends on Wednesday anyways but he wont have time to hunt the rest of week with work and by the time he would get off work it would almost be dark so not much time being able to hunt.
